Pupils tasted their baking today after lunch. The brack had set really well and Mrs. Little did a great job cutting it up!
Words used by the pupils to describe the brack were:
delicious, fruity, sweet, bursting with flavour, mouth-watering, soft exploding with flavours, outstanding, old school...etc.
A copy of the recipe is attached below the pictures if anyone would like to make it at home :)
Well done boys, future chefs in the making in Belturbet!
4th and 5th classes had fun baking today in preparation for Halloween. They baked a Halloween Tea Brack. They worked in groups to weigh and mix ingredients together. The smell of the homemade Tea Brack throughout the school after lunch was mouth-watering. However, we weren't as happy to learn that the brack had to be covered for two days when finished baking to set! So we're looking forward to Monday and tasting our cooking :)
Our brack is cooling over the weekend as it needed to be covered in greaseproof paper, once cooled, to set.
We will keep you updated with our school events on a regular basis
