We celebrated World Book Day on Friday the 6th of March. Pupils dressed up as characters from their favourite books and engaged in many enjoyable book day activities organised by Mrs. Maguire. We started the day with a show and tell, with pupils presenting their costumes and told us some background information about their book character. Paddy gave a wonderful synopsis of his character and his upbringing, enticing us all and leaving us wanting to read his book! In the afternoon each class participated in a fun and interesting new book day activity, which prompted huge curiousity among all classes. Each teacher had a poster of their 'book shelf' at home on the wall and the pupils had to make an educated guess as to which book shelf belonged to which teacher. We had a lot of fun trying to put the puzzle together and make connections. We then engaged in a book day quiz. What a day!! The winners of the World Book Day quiz received a very special prize, a GOLDEN TICKET which will give them a pass for a wonderful outing with Mrs. Maguire! Well done boys.
