INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to our S.T.E.M. page of our school's website.
The word STEM is an abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
STEM is an area in which we have been focusing on in St. Mary's Boys' N.S. for many years.
During the 2016/ 2017 academic year we were awarded a STEM Certificate by Primary Science as a recognition for our achievements in these four areas.
More recently, in the 2017/2018 school year, we were awarded the STEM Plaque of Excellence!
Well done to all our pupils and staff that were involved.

We at St. Mary's Boys' N.S. believe in the importance of STEM education in Primary School. It not only provides our pupils with skills relevant to the areas of work in STEM, but also provides the opportunity for all pupils to become involved in each of these areas in an active and hands-on approach. Pupils gain experiences in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in school in a relevant and an enjoyable approach.
