After Easter, all classes (2nd - 6th) began swimming. Swimming is a very important part of the P.E. curriculum.

RunAroundEurope

Our Active School Committee were busy organising our RunAroundEurope the past few weeks! We virtually ran through England, on to Germany, through Poland and on to Ukraine - 3,300km!!! What an achievement! Well done to our Active School Committee for organising jersey day on March 22nd! It was so much fun running across the border to Ukraine in our favourite jerseys! 🏃‍♂️

Swimming Gala

Well done to all boys who represented our school in the recent swimming gala. We are very proud of you. Well done to our u10 relay team on taking home some special silverware following coming 2nd in overall u10 relay race! Great achievement boys!

TY programme with St. Bricin’s

Thank you to our neighbours in St. Bricin’s secondary school for completing a 12 week multi- activity programme with our 2nd class. We really enjoyed rounders and soccer on the astro!

Well done to our superstar Ben O’ Reilly who was selected to play at the half time Cumann na mBunscol/ INTO RESPECT GO- Games exhibition game at this years Semi- Final football between Monaghan and Dublin. We’re so proud of you Ben and we hope you enjoyed the experience of playing in Croke Park!

Junior Blitz in Redhills

Many thanks to St. Brigid’s N.S., Redhills for organising a junior blitz for 2nd & 3rd class on Thursday June 22nd! It was great for 2nd & 3rd class to have this opportunity!

Senior Soccer league winners!

🏐Congratulations to Hugh, Ben, Finn, Jayson & Mathew for winning the senior soccer league in our school! This soccer league is the highlight of the last term in school! 🏐 Thank you to our school coach Shaun for presenting the trophies.

🏆Cumann na mBunscol Division 3 Champions! 🏆

On Thursday June 8th the whole community of Belturbet were celebrating after we were crowned Cumann na mBunscol Division 3 champions, defeating Kilinkere in Kingapan Breffni Park. Well done to our team and their parents! A huge word of thanks to our own superstar parent and past pupil Jason O’ Reilly who guided these boys through all their games leading to the final. His dedication to the team is outstanding!
